Collins Aerospace is looking to host a transitioning veteran as Systems Administrator Fellow and be mentored by our skilled and seasoned professionals who are ready to build and grow your skills!

This position is onsite in Anaheim, CA

What You Will Learn During This Fellowship

• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
• Troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware, software and operating systems.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes, procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Support infrastructure such as Cisco IOS and Network Appliance ONTAP.
• Help build awareness for employees around Cyber Security and Compliance.
• Identify potential security risks in the organization and assist in risk mitigation.
• Support new security initiatives and projects within the organization.

To be eligible for a SkillBridge Fellowship, you must meet the following requirements:

• Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
• Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
• Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
• Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
• Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (SECRET) is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux
• Experience with Cisco IOS
• Experience with cyber security risk mitigation

NOTE:  SkillBridge Fellows are not eligible for these benefits, however they may be available upon conversion to full-time.
