Site Program Manager Role

The Site Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the Adult Day Program, Employment Program, and Youth Program for Members with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) at the site. This includes overseeing direct support professionals, employment support specialists, and program service coordinators; maintaining day-to-day operations; ensuring implementation of individual and group programming; confirming compliance with all relevant contracts; and maintaining relationships with community partners and funders. This position will act as a resource for people with IDD, their families and caregivers, and the general public through individualized service delivery, program management, and community outreach, education, and awareness.

• Integrate the agency’s mission, vision, strategic goals, values, and ideologies into the site structure and functionality.
• Incorporate Employment First tenets into the framework all programs to best facilitate competitive, integrated employment for all Members at The Opportunity Tree.
• Effectively hire, train, lead, manage, and provide feedback to program staff based at the Avondale site to actualize high-quality programs.
• Ensure that programming practices reflect current best practices and fully embrace the Members’ inherent dignity, worth, needs, interests, and abilities.
• Analyze and evaluate program data in conjunction with continuous program quality improvement practices to increase high-quality program experiences for Members and staff.
• Represents the agency in the community, including speaking engagements, facility tours, public interactions, and participation on boards.
• Identify and implement processes to enhance program planning, reporting, and data tracking/measurement to ensure compliance with government contracts, grant requirements, and continuous quality improvement standards.
• Advocate with Members and their families to ensure that their voices are shared and heard.
• Maintain a positive attitude and respectful, collaborative working relationships with: Members, staff, families/caregivers, state and federal agencies, people from the various funding sources, and the community.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of Members and staff by adhering to OSHA Standards and all other safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Arizona driver license with Non-Restricted Motor Vehicle Record and compliance per the requirements of The Opportunity Tree’s insurance carrier.
• Personal enthusiasm for participation in a non-profit organization serving individuals with IDD.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write, speak, and listen effectively in English.
• Knowledge of intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities and the training, interventions, and best practices utilized with the disabled population.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience.
• Comprehensive experience working with people with IDD or in a similar field.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member with Members, staff, families, funders, and stakeholders.
• Intermediate knowledge in using MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and web browsing.
• Ability to collect, interpret, and utilize data to assist in making financial, strategic, and programmatic decisions.
• Positive attitude and ability to represent The Opportunity Tree effectively in the community.
• Maintain a current AZ-DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR, First Aid, and Prevention and Support, and any other required certifications.
• Current driver license with Non-Restricted Motor Vehicle Record and compliance per the requirements of The Opportunity Tree’s insurance carrier.

Work Environment:
