ROLE OVERVIEW:

You will be responsible to erect and place signs for controlling traffic on road construction projects.

Typical hours are Monday - Friday 5:00am - 7:00pm with an occasional Saturday. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

  1. General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent
  2. Equipment maintenance & operation
  3. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record. 

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

  1. Identify and order required signs, barrels and sandbags.
  2. Erect signs, place barrels, etc. for lane closures
  3. Take down signs and remove barrels.
  4. Put up detours.
  5. Keep sign area in yard clean.
  6. Pull arrow warning sign during mulch application along roadways.
  7. Set up lab trailers to state specifications.
  8. Move lab trailers to construction sites.
  9. Get electric and phone hook ups for lab trailer.
  10. Maintain daily worklog.
  11. Provide necessary communications to federal, state or county inspectors.
  12. Performs other duties assigned.
