About the role – Outbound Supervisor
Role Purpose
The outbound supervisor is responsible for planning and executing workload in the assigned area of the operation by delivering all critical requirements, while working in unison with other leadership and direct reports to ship customer orders consistently every day.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for outbound processing activities in assigned area, to ensure that all customer orders are processed same day.
- Ensure that core goals are being achieved for safety, same day shipping, order accuracy, and shipment quality.
- Works with peer level management team, support functions, and operations manager to ensure effective workflow is achieved.
- Drive and delivery performance through a team of associates to achieve daily order processing goals.
- Ensure workplace policies and operational procedures are consistently applied, to deliver a safe, clean, and fair work environment for all associates.
- Drive departmental improvement and personnel development, through effective staff engagement and process enhancements.
- Provide strong leadership, motivation and clear effective communication of all RS operational goals and departmental requirements to direct reports.

The outbound supervisor reports to the outbound manager. Team size based on area of responsibility, ranging from 15 – 40 hourly associates.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a comparable operation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate in a professional manner and maintaining a respectful workplace environment.
- Operational experience with a WMS and SAP.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of multitasking and managing time effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices
- Analytical mindset with the ability to independently problem solve and effectively prioritize solutions in direct functional area.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
- Bilingual (English/Sp
