What will your main responsibilities be

  • Providing shift breakdown support packing lines, mixing plants, Palletising, utilities, waste treatment plant.

  • Understand and conduct complex fault finding and repairs of electrical, electronic components including instruments.

  • Participating in autonomous maintenance programs.

  • Completing site focused improvements and small projects across the site.

  • Monitor and evaluate the condition of all electrical, electronics and instrumentation.

  • Working as a team player to maintain and improve plant efficiency.

  • Analyze data, solve complex electrical, instrumentation and automation problems.

  • Training and coaching electrical apprentices.

What you need to succeed

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical, automation, mechatronics or electronics.

  • 3+ years of maintenance, repair and project experience, preferably with FMCG industry experience.

Skills

  • Demonstrate understanding and application of the “five golden rules” of electrical safety (Isolate, Lock Out Tag Out, verify absence of Voltage, Ground connects in short circuit and working area delimitation).

  • Remove and replace major electrical components (such as motors, switch/control gear) and troubleshoot electrical circuits safely. 

  • Able to isolate machinery and re-install electrical supplies for machinery components.

  • Establish power distribution systems and electrical control circuits.

  • Basic knowledge of power electronics (DC supplies, servo drives, PLC, etc.)

  • Able to create a machine breakdown report clearly stating the details, action taken and root cause analysis.

  • Demonstrate and exercise safety measures across the factory and report for any incidents related to safety.

  • Flexible within pattern of shift work to accommodate factory shutdowns, training courses and emergency cover.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams, single line diagram, schematic, P, and ID.

  • TAFE Accredited Hazardous area Training

  • Robotic experience (ABB, Kawasaki)

  • Safety PLC understanding

  • SAP or CMMS experience
