Position Summary
The SharePoint Engineer/Architect serves as a technical leader responsible for the design, development, implementation, support, and evolution of SharePoint-based enterprise solutions. This role provides expertise in information technology strategy, systems architecture, application development, business process improvement, and collaboration platforms. The position works closely with government stakeholders to define requirements, create technical solutions, optimize performance, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and mission requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate the design, development, implementation, and support of business and technology information systems solutions encompassing multiple specialties, platforms, and technologies.
• Define project scope, plans, and deliverables, including cost projections and project implementation dates.
• Assist leadership in determining technical direction of the organization.
• Research, create, recommend, and implement new technologies, standards, and processes.
• Create portions of information technology plans based on organizational strategic direction and operational goals.
• Assess customer organizational strategic direction and identify technology opportunities.
• Perform business process and workflow analysis.
• Design and develop methods and systems intended to leverage technologies.
• Provide technical support for marketing initiatives through participation in proposal and marketing activities.
• Review software and programming designs to ensure appropriate technology, effective use of resources, and adherence to customer requirements.
• Identify and evaluate end-user standards and procedures.
• Monitor and measure solutions to ensure performance and lifecycle support requirements are met.
• Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
• Gather requirements and develop system solutions for problem resolution.
• Provide SharePoint design, architecture, administration, and operational support services.
• Work with internal users to install, upgrade, configure, administer, automate, and optimize architectures and associated software.
• Perform software installation and upgrade automation.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
• Perform and maintain application and process troubleshooting.
• Analyze problems, support and improvement functions, and implement solutions.
• Maintain and manage information technology projects in compliance with government standards and regulations.
• Possess experience with Microsoft technologies including:
