Overview of Position:
The Shared Services Operations Specialist handles the dispositioning of insurance claim checks on behalf of our financial institution clients, directly impacting the timeliness and accuracy of property damage claims . This role requires proven ability to manage deadlines and meet quality standards with accuracy and consistent attention to detail. It also requires the use of good judgment to solve problems and make business-appropriate decisions consistent with Assurant procedures and best practices.
The Shared Services Specialist has a direct impact on customer satisfaction and confidence through the timeliness and accuracy of their work and the quality provided. Our volume of work may increase on occasion, especially during natural disasters, and therefore there will be times when overtime may be required.

What will be my duties and responsibilities?
- Responsible for performing job requirements including processing insurance claim checks, maintenance, or research.
- May perform monetary functional transactions such as posting deposits to client servicing system
- Make appropriate updates to client database in order to meet regulatory obligation
- Manage time to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
- May work in multi-functional areas with multiple clients
- Handle other duties and projects as requested on business needs
- Maintain and update procedure knowledge on an on-going basis and attend workshops, seminars, and other training sessions as appropriate.

What are the requirements needed for this position?
- High School diploma or GED
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of computers and proficiency with Microsoft office including Excel and PowerPoint
- Good oral and written communication skills and professional etiquette
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- 1-year experience in insurance, banking, finance, mortgage servicing, or related experience

Pay Range:
$15.86 - $24.59Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
