Yunex is seeking a Traffic Signal Groundman to join our team in Anaheim, California
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with installation and maintenance of cables, fibers, and cameras associated with traffic signal and street light systems. You will work closely with engineering technicians to provide optimum installation and maintenance services to agency customers. The crew will occasionally work overtime and working outside is to be expected. If you have a background with electrical work or road construction, we'd love to have you apply & join our team!

Responsibilities
- Maintains street level plant and equipment daily including concrete ground boxes, poles, and various containers housing traffic signal switching and other electrical equipment.
- Utilizes hand tools, shovels, and concrete equipment when maintaining, removing, or installing new underground conduit and related equipment.
- Operates hydraulic bucket truck when needed.
- Performs maintenance on traffic lighting fixtures, cameras and other housings when needed, utilizing hand and power tools.
- Mixes & pours concrete on new installations
- Provides periodic on-call services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years-of-age or older
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Minimum 3 years’ recent and verifiable experience as a Traffic Signal Technician
- Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screening
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- IMSA Level II or III Certification is highly preferred
- IMSA Work Zone Safety Certification or equivalent is highly preferred
- Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical exam and drug test, have a valid driver's license, and insurance
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Must be able and willing to work at heights typically associated with installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signals and streetlights
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Must adhere to environmental, health and safety regulations, work procedures and guidelines
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing at heights over 15 feet to access traffic signal equipment and related infrastructure.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds of tools, equipment, and materials as part of installation and maintenance tasks.
- Requires manual dexterity for handling small components and wiring in confined spaces.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, and drive for extended periods; occasional riding as a passenger to job sites.
- Ability to distinguish the range of color spectrum
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders, poles, or elevated platforms when installing or repairing signal equipment.
