The Museum has since opened a treasured, historic landmark building in NYC’s Flatiron District, expanded to Tallinn, and will welcome a Berlin Museum in 2023. Located at 281 Park Avenue South, the six-floor, 45,000 sq ft. historic landmark is home to an unexpected mix of world-class art, vibrant cultural programming, and exceptional dining experiences including Verōnika and Chapel Bar. Recent exhibitions include works from Andy Warhol and David LaChapelle, and Elizaveta Porodina.

The Role

Verōnika Servers are advocates and ambassadors of service excellence, that understand the critical role that exceeding and maintaining service expectations plays in the success of Food & Beverage operations. They are deeply knowledgeable of our culinary and beverage offerings, and they aim to create customized hospitality experiences for each of our guests. Reporting to the Verōnika Restaurant Manager and Floor Manager, the role includes all aspects of floor service including set up, execution, and breakdown. Verōnika Servers provide service with open hearts, and they embody our core values of joy, curiosity, entrepreneurialism, inclusivity, and confidence.

Requirements

• Precisely execute Verōnika Steps of Service to ensure exceptional guest experience and to maintain Verōnika leadership standards.
• Supply our members and guests with in depth knowledge of all Verōnika food + beverage menu items and ensure the quality of all food + beverage items delivered are consistently meeting the high standards set by the F&B leadership team.
• Consistently provide thoughtful, personal service with the goal to develop connections and repeat guests.
• Hit nightly sales goals provided by our Executive Chef.
• In-depth menu and product knowledge, allergen awareness, and beverage pairing knowledge.
• Ongoing attendance at scheduled team trainings to ensure detailed product knowledge, growth and professionalism.
• Sales and cash handling using Toast POS platform.
• Effectively communicate with and guide our support staff through service.

• Attend regular operational meetings and team trainings to ensure ongoing knowledge, growth and effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
• Competency regarding Fotografiska and our various programs and amenities.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure that overall cleanliness of the venue meets State Health Code Standards, with the expectation of passing a Grade A.
• Have a positive impact, taking responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with our members, guests and F&B leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in a Server or Captain role in a luxury hospitality venue with fast-paced, volume seating.
• Open availability on Monday-Saturday from 3pm on and the willingness to work 3-4 nights a week.
• The ability to learn and memorize our menu including ingredients, allergens, one-liner descriptions, and beverage pairings.
• A track record of successfully hitting sales goals.

• A passion for food & beverage and hospitality with an interest in growing in the industry.
• An advocate and ambassador of service excellence that understands the critical role that exceeding and maintaining service expectations plays in the building of successful Food & Beverage operations.
• The disposition to consistently ensure guest satisfaction with a friendly yet professional demeanor and relentless courtesy.
• The ability to thrive under pressure and handle multiple tasks at one time while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• The capacity to work in an ever-changing environment and support in other areas as required to maintain the integrity of Verōnika AND Fotografiska museum operations.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $17.00 - $18.00 an hour.
