Job Description

Position Summary:  

A server at The Nelson Cottage by High West delivers a welcoming, elevated, fun, and distinctive guest experience to every patron. They understand and live the principles of fine-dining service.

Responsibilities:

• Always maintain an uncompromised professionalism and composure and all situations. 
• Shares a passion for product and provides epic guest experiences with effortless suggestions and honest salesmanship. 
• Able to work well with the Cottage team and be dynamic with responsibilities.
• Executes proper wine service.
• Converts guests into “High West Whiskey Ambassador’s” through detailed knowledge of HW whiskeys, cocktails, food and their availability. 
• Educates guests in an honest way about the history of our home, our whiskey, and our food. 
• Ensures guest expectations are met by executing proper sequence of service, anticipating guest needs, moving with purpose, and confidence. 
• Maintains the details of table and restaurant cleanliness in all areas of the building, throughout all hours including table maintenance.
• Completes set-up, side work and closing tasks as assigned and/or directed in a timely manner.
• Works closely with Lead Supervisor and Manager to ensure all tasks are completed thoroughly, correctly, and efficiently during the shift.
• Values the importance of internal hospitality and the necessary team environment this promotes.
• Understands and executes service at a fine-dining level

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Works outdoors/indoors
• Works in warm/cold climates
• Works in high places
• Works on wet surfaces
• Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or potential chemicals
• Can carry a minimumpf 3 plates at a time
• Must be able to move up to 55 lbs

Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
