About the role

We are looking for a Server Assistant to join our team at The Saint in Lower Gaston! The Saint experience focuses on fresh pasta, dry-aged steaks, and options for vegetarians and vegans.       What we are looking for: 
  • Work with servers to ensure proper guest service.
  • Polish flatware, set up tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, accessories, and fold napkins properly.
  • Clear, clean, and sanitize booth/chair and tables completely, and reset with clean linens, votive candles, glassware, and any additional tabletop items needed.
  • Remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from table and bring to the kitchen for proper washing and disposing of trash in designated receptacles.
  • Coordinate table availability and constantly communicates with server, hostess, and management to ensure tables are turned efficiently.
  • Serve water, coffee, soft drinks, and refilling when needed.
  • Ensure that dining room floors are clean and free of debris.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.
 Ideal candidate:
  • Prior server assistant experience in fine dining  preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.
  • Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, must be able to work weekends, and holidays.
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all guests.
