Senior Wealth Product Designer

Your Team Responsibilities

We're seeking a talented VP Product Design to play a key role in our Wealth Design team, creating cutting-edge experiences for financial professionals. This role is for a skilled designer who can transform complex financial data into intuitive, user-friendly solutions that delight our customers. 

In this role, you'll be an integral part of our product development process, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers. You'll apply user-centric design principles to transform how financial tools are conceived, developed, and used, contributing to the implementation of our product operating model focused on outcomes and rapid experimentation. 

Your Key Responsibilities

• Conduct User Research: 

• Develop a deep understanding of wealth management users 

• Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis to gain deep insights into wealth management user needs and behaviors. 

• Translate research findings into actionable design solutions. 

• Use Data to Guide Your Work: 

• The ability to interpret data to inform design decisions. 

• Experience with A/B testing and other data-driven methodologies. 

• Ability to leverage user data and analytics to drive continuous improvement in design. 

• Familiarity with tools and platforms for data analysis (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).  

• Design Intuitive Visual Interfaces: 

• Craft visually appealing and cohesive designs that enhance the overall user experience. 

• Design intuitive interactions and user flows that ensure seamless navigation and usability. 

• Balance complex financial data visualization with user-friendly interfaces 

• Iterate on designs based on feedback from users and stakeholders. 

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team: 

• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with product strategy. 

• Participate in cross-functional team meetings to advocate for user-centered design. 

• Contribute to Our Design System: 

• Contribute to and help maintain our design system and guidelines to ensure consistency across all product interfaces. 

• Advocate for the adoption and evolution of the design system. 

• Communicate Well with Your Peers and Customers: 

• Articulate design decisions and the rationale behind them to stakeholders and team members. 

• Present design concepts and progress updates to the wider team, customers, and executive leadership. 

• Coordinate with Head of Product Design, product managers, and other team members to prioritize tasks and manage workloads. 

• Apply documentation to designs and design system elements to help others on the team understand the intent of your designs. 

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

• User-centered: You have a solid grasp of user-centered design principles and methodologies. You've applied these to identify problems to solve and to create effective solutions in previous roles.  

• Data-informed: You understand the importance of data in design decisions and have some experience using metrics to inform your work. 

• Design and Prototyping Skills: You have a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to design intuitive interfaces for complex digital products. You're skilled in creating user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes. A solid understanding of Figma is a plus. 

• Research Oriented: You have experience leading user research and applying insights to inform your design decisions. 

• Collaborative: You work well in cross-functional teams and can effectively communicate design concepts to non-designers. 

• Adaptive: You're quick to grasp new concepts and are eager to apply your design skills to new domains.  

• Curious: You love to stay current with emerging design trends and technologies. 

• Agile: Experience working in an Agile development process is a plus. 

• Front-end Aware: Knowledge of HTML/CSS
