Humana Healthy Horizons in Oklahoma is seeking a Senior Vendor Management Professional who works as liaison between vendors and organization. The Senior Vendor Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

               

The Senior Vendor Management Professional

• Reviews and negotiates terms of vendor contracts and communicates with vendors  regarding day-to-day matters
• Builds and maintains positive relationship with vendors and monitor vendor performance
• Tracks all Market vendor agreements in common tool/CRM.  Ensures ample time prior to contract term to evaluate ongoing relationship and contract changes needed prior to term date.  Ensures key stakeholders are kept abreast of vendor relationship changes and or potential impacts to vendor relationships
• Researches invoice and contractual issues and resolves discrepancies
• Begins to influence department’s strategy.  Partners with organizations broader vendor management team to align, as appropriate, on market strategy
• Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments

Required Qualifications

• Must reside in Oklahoma
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years vendor management experience in a healthcare or insurance setting
• 2+ years Project Management experience
• Vendor Performance Management measurement experience
• Progressive operational experience
• Leadership experience over a large metric-intensive operational unit
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree
• Certification of Procurement and/or Supply Chain
• Certification with Six Sigma and/or the Project Management Institute
• Knowledge of Medicare Advantage
• Grievance and Appeals experience
• Knowledge of Medicaid
