Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) Specialist to join our team in the DMV area.  We have opportunities in the Washington, DC area as well as Northern Virginia and Maryland. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:   

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define user interface requirements and design innovative user experiences 

• Develop and implement strategic vision for user interface designs, wireframes, prototypes, and specifications 

• Ensure that design concepts are aligned with user needs and mission outcomes and conduct user research, usability testing, and other user-centered design activities 

• Create and maintain design guidelines, templates, and style guides and work with developers to ensure that design concepts are implemented accurately and efficiently 

• Supervises and mentors subordinate project staff. They collaborate and share work with other UI/UX Specialist IIIs 

Basic Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline 

• Five or more (5+) years of position specific relevant experience 

• Experience in UI/UX design, product design and/or enterprise application fields or relevant customer-facing job roles 

• If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required 

• If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Expertise in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc 

• Proven experience in user research, usability testing, and design thinking 

• Strong visual design skills with a focus on clean, modern design 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills 

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment 

• Relevant industry certifications desirable 

Clearance Requirements:  

• This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

• Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
