Position: Senior Training Specialist

Job Summary:
Senior Training Specialists support the U.S. Coast Guard's international training and security cooperation missions. Designated as key personnel, they manage planning, coordination, and reporting of international training programs, ensure quota management, and liaise with regional training managers and partner organizations to deliver high‑quality resident and mobile training.
Education and Experience:
- At least three years of experience in the foreign assistance or security cooperation field managing international military students and mobile training.
- At least three years experience working with Title 10 and Title 22 security cooperation and assistance programs such as Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Foreign Military Financing, International Narcotics and Law Enforcement, and International Military Education and Training.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with various Department of Defense or USCG international military student management systems such as the Defense Security Assistance Management System, and the Student Assistance Network
- Active Secret clearance and ability to travel within CONUS and OCONUS.
Essential Duties:
- Work with regional training managers to identify annual resident training quota requirements, analyze availability, and submit requirements into the quota management system.
- Coordinate annual quota allocation meetings and enter all student data into DSAMS, including training type, location, country of origin, and funding source.
- Prepare weekly statistical reports summarizing current and projected international military students and Mobile Training Team (MTT) missions.
- Analyze historical training data to develop annual training trend analyses and develop reports for Congress and other agencies.
- Develop, schedule, and manage execution of OCONUS Mobile Training Teams (MTTs) in cooperation with training centers and the Mobile Training Branch.
- Escort foreign delegations to USCG facilities, update country fact sheets with training data, and ensure submission of DHS IT Security Program Exception forms for students requiring computer access.
- Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case development and other program execution activities including joint visit inspections, site surveys, and foreign visits.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the USCG's mission, objectives, and organizational processes for accomplishing international training and security cooperation.
- Working knowledge of the USCG training system and courses of instruction.
- Experience with Department of Defense and USCG international student management systems such as DSAMS and the Student Assistance Network.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
