Position Title: Senior Training Coordinator

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Position Summary: The Senior Training Coordinator is responsible for the development, production, and continuous update of written, photographic, audio, video, and mixed media training aids and materials to support mission planning and execution. This position ensures that users are thoroughly familiar with range capabilities, assets, and operational procedures through detailed briefings and debriefings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and updates multimedia training materials for mission planning.
  • Conducts in-depth debriefings on range capabilities, assets, and operational procedures.
  • Supports planning and coordination for agencies participating in or supporting training operations.
  • Attends pre-mission conferences to support users and mission groups.
  • Coordinates training system assets and ensures daily communication with aviation units, air control units, airspace/air traffic control agencies, and other training system facilities to facilitate participant coordination.
  • Maintains a computer database of range utilization and prepares reports on range availability, scheduling, and utilization.
  • Develops and presents briefings on range capabilities, operations, and requirements to military and government agencies, including VIP presentations.
  • Provides operator training for on-site personnel on display consoles and conducts equipment demonstrations for authorized personnel.
  • Assists users with developing training scenarios and coordinating fleet exercises.
  • Implements and administers effective, rapid, and comprehensive methods for distributing mission scenarios and updates.
  • Provides feedback on mission results and conducts post-mission debriefings.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Top Secret Clearance
  2. Demonstrated mission planning experience with Fleet synthetic training events
  3. Familiarity with Navy Training Baseline modeling and simulation and their applicability to Fleet synthetic training
  4. Five (5) years performing DoD exercise coordination activities
  5. Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field

  • Advanced degree in STEM or related field
