ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

 

  • ExxonMobil is looking for an experienced Trade Compliance Advisor to become part of the Leadership Team and help drive the transformation of our compliance program and organizational design to enable the successful adoption of SAP GTS. 
  • Senior Trade Compliance Advisor is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the strategic trade compliance roadmap, working alongside the Global Trade Compliance Leadership Team and ExxonMobil's business units and enabling functions.
  • In partnership with the Global Trade Compliance Manager identify and drive transformational initiatives (people, process, technology) in the areas of import / export classification, valuation, customs compliance and preferential trade, utilizing industry best practices.
  • Identify and operationalize value generation opportunities via FTAs, FTZs, duty drawback and other regional trade programs

What you will do

 

  • Design future state processes based on industry best practices, organizational footprint, risk and the utilization of SAP GTS as enabling technology
  • Align organizational structure and define roles & responsibilities to enable efficient, fit-for-risk execution of future processes
  • Identify additional enabling technology requirements to achieve desired outcomes and optimize automation vs. manual execution
  • Provide oversight for overall project management of executing the strategic roadmap
  • Redesign key performance indicators and define underlying data & analytics requirements 
  • Analyze global trade data and identify additional opportunities for value generation and savings via utilization of trade programs, FTAs, FTZs, duty drawback, etc.
  • Work alongside Global Trade Compliance Leadership Team to provide oversight and governance of strategic activities
  • Act as focal point for SAP GTS project team to advise on implementation impacts and industry best practices

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Master’s degree or similar education.
  • 8-10 years’ experience in Trade Compliance Leadership, including working level knowledge of SAP GTS
  • Proven experience with Trade Compliance process development and implementation, prefera
