Collins Aerospace is seeking a Test Engineer (TE) to support all aspects of technical performance across multiple depot and production programs at the Largo Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC), reporting to the Largo Test Engineering Manager. In this role the Test Engineer will be supporting testing both in Largo and in Brooksville FL conducting systems testing on the Air Traffic Navigation, Integration and Coordination System (ATNAVICS). This testing requires travel to the Tampa Bay Regional Airport located in Brooksville FL. The travel to Brooksville will be for extended periods of time and off-shift support during testing.

What You Will Do​

As an ATNAVICS Test Engineer, you may be involved with any of the following activities:

• Analyzing radar track data.
• Troubleshooting advanced RF subsystems
• System setup to include sighting the ATNAVICS Sensor system
• Set up graph plots test asset computer for radar alignment operation
• Perform flight test in Brooksville Fl
• Directing aircraft on all (Airport Surveillance Radar) ASR flight levels
• Oversight for test equipment used for production purposes
• Direct Aircraft for all Precision Approach Radar (PAR) approaches to calibrate the radar glideslope
• Generate flight test reports

​Qualifications You Must Have 

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience required with the ability to work off-shift hours during required flight testing in Brooksville FL.
• Strong RF background with the ability to work with and troubleshoot complex ATNAVICS Sub Systems.
• Experience working with Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Power Meters and Frequency generators, Oscilloscopes.
• Experience working within a team environment, developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders and with MS Office tool suite.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

• Ability to apply basic principles, theories, and concepts within the electrical engineering fields and general knowledge of other related disciplines.

• Willingness to support occasional travel.
