Job Description:
The Senior Technician - Mapper position entails technical, and complex Right-of-Way determination and plan development functions relating to determining Existing Condition and proposed Final Right-of-Way and condemnation documentation for Project Development projects.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Performing existing right-of-way research, boundary research, deed and plan interpretation, Working with and interpreting ground survey and topographic data,
- Reviewing Property Owner Reports and review of State, county, and municipal records to produce existing conditions plans, and
- Performing the design and layout of a variety of property rights to be acquired by condemnation or deed for transportation projects in developing the Final right-of-way plans.
This position requires knowledge and skills in boundary survey mathematics, CADD plan development, and property research. This position also requires working with project managers, legal office, surveyors, designers, right-of-way and property professionals to meet the changing needs and project schedules.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
Eight (8) years of experience in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and four (4) years of engineering experience -OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and six (6) years of experience in engineering.
