Senior System Engineer, Jira and Confluence System Administrator 
Position Overview
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, specification, build, implementation, and support of systems. He/she defines technical solutions for maximizing the capabilities of the system. is responsible for daily production and optimization of production. He/she maintains an optimized system through performance tuning and monitoring. The Senior System Engineer may be responsible for daily administration duties of systems including but not limited to account maintenance, performance management, error resolution, back-ups, and restores. The Senior Systems Engineer provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization’s mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care. This role is specific to system administration and management of the Jira and Confluence application environment. This includes ensuring optimal performance, integration with third-party solutions such as ServiceNow, GitHub, and supporting related CI/CD processes to optimize and support a complex, enterprise site. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Jira & Confluence system administration for a very large, complex, application user base.  As well as have strong technical skills, and a deep understanding of agile methodologies and tools. 
Key Responsibilities
•    End-to-End System Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle management of Jira and Confluence instances including installation, configuration, upgrades, monitoring, and performance tuning.
•    Access & workflow management: Perform Jira system administration tasks including user management, permissions, workflows, screens, fields, and notifications.
•    Integration Management: Integrate Jira and Confluence with various plug-ins and third-party solutions such as ServiceNow, GitHub, and related automated CI/CD applications/processes to ensure seamless operations and data flow.
•    Communications & Reporting: Develop and implement Jira and Confluence dashboards, reports and sites for management review and to be leveraged as information radiators.
•    User Support and Training: Provide advanced support to users, troubleshoot issues, and deliver training sessions to enhance user proficiency and adoption of Jira and Confluence tools.
•    Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols and compliance measures to safeguard sensitive information and ensure regulatory compliance.
•    Customization and Automation: Customize Jira and Confluence workflows, templates, and plugins to meet organizational needs and automate routine tasks and processes.
•    Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
•    Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Development, and Operations to align Jira and Confluence capabilities with organizational objectives.

•    Agile Methodologies: Understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and their implementation through Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    3+ years of experience in Jira and Confluence administration.
•    Proven experience in integrating Jira and Confluence with third-party solutions such as ServiceNow, GitHub, and related tools for DevOps and CI/CD processes.
•    Strong understanding of IT infrastructure
