Job Description
Bose Corporation has a long history of creating innovative high-performance wearable devices, and home entertainment and automotive audio systems, encompassing both audio rendering and noise control. To enable the research and development for such features we rely on powerful prototyping systems. We are looking for a talented system architect to join our Research Advanced Systems team to evolve our prototyping systems to the next generation of a modular and scalable platform that supports our research.
The ideal candidate needs to be able to cover several domains with technical depth and be familiar with architectures in audio processing, noise control, and machine learning.

Responsibilities:
Collecting systems requirements from research and development groups focused on audio systems, noise control, and hearing enhancement
Drive prototyping platforming activities across HW and SW domains
Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to develop the optimal compromise between HW and SW solutions
Required qualifications and experience:
Software architecture, software design
Hardware design
Solid understanding of DSP and general-purpose processors and architectures
Experience with an embedded RTOS such as Linux, QNX
Experience with embedded peripherals such as I2C, I2S, SPI, JTAG, Ethernet and/or USB
Experience with digital audio interfaces and protocols
Experience with automotive systems and interfaces, e.g. A2B, CAN
Strong communication skills, including the ability to concisely explain complex issues to non-experts.
Excellent written and verbal skills
Education:
BSEE/BSCS/BSCE with a minimum of 10 years related work experience.
