Position Summary...
We are in search of a highly skilled professional to lead our Data Center Compute Services team located in Virginia. This pivotal role will involve overseeing all aspects of our multiple colocation data center facilities located in that region, including the management of its IT assets, driving projects, ensuring the utmost availability and security of data and systems, and providing supervision to a team of exceptional engineers.About Team:

Our team builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support the tech organization. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.
What you'll do...
- Infrastructure management: Managing the physical IT infrastructure of the data center. This includes ensuring proper installation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of hardware and the documentation thereof.
- Site Security: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the data center spaces and its systems from unauthorized access and physical damage. This includes granting and controlling access to the facility and escorting vendors.
- Availability management: Ensuring the availability of data and systems by ensuring network and power redundancy. This includes validation of work being performed by internal and external teams.
- Capacity planning: Monitoring and managing the physical capacity of the data center infrastructure to support current and future business needs. This involves analyzing system performance, predicting future resource requirements, and planning for equipment upgrades and expansions. Understanding contracted power vs. utilized power and ensuring proper load balancing at the rack level.
- Incident management: Responding to and resolving technical issues and incidents that occur within the data center. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software problems, coordinating with vendors and engineers for repairs, and ensuring timely resolution of issues to minimize downtime.
- Team management: Leading a team of engineers responsible for the day-to-day operations of the data center. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and ensuring the team is trained on the latest technologies and best practices.
- Compliance: Ensuring the data center facility and operations comply with relevant regulations and standards, such as OSHA, PCI, HIPPA and other industry-specific regulations. This includes maintaining documentation, conducting audits, and implementing necessary controls to meet compliance requirements.
- Budget: Overseeing and maintaining accurate budgeting processes, ensuring all financial activities align with organizational goals. Review and validate invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all procurement activities.
- Communication: Having the ability to engage with customers directly, utilizing strong communication and active listening skills to understand and address their needs effectively, ensuring a positive and satisfying experience. Must be able to use multiple communication tools to collaborate with teams across the world.
