Senior Sustainability Business Partner

We are now looking for a Senior Sustainability Business Partner to join our central sustainability team. The successful candidate will assist in the successful development and delivery of the sustainability strategy for Muller UK & Ireland Group.  Acting as deputy in the absence of the Head of Sustainability and collaborating with colleagues across all functions, at all levels, to ensure the sustainability strategy is embedded across the business to drive improvements.

 

*Please note this is a Home-based role with regular travel to our UK sites*

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Support the development and implementation of the sustainability strategy for Muller UK & Ireland Group
• Support the Head of Sustainability to ensure senior level commitment and support for integrating sustainability principles into core processes and decision-making
• Set MUK&I sustainability strategy, work with key business stakeholders to agree top level ownership, targets and level of ambition
• Building key relationships with customers and suppliers, attending key customer events and joining relevant working parties
• Attend and manage engagement / initiatives with key industry bodies
• Conduct horizon scanning to identify any emerging trends, legislation and issues that could impact on Muller UK & Ireland Group
• Manage the response to all external reporting/information requests
• Business Partner to establish and implement management performance review for reporting progress against sustainability strategy pillars
• Serve as an internal expert and "go to" person for sustainability
• Support the Head of sustainability with communicating and educating the business on sustainability issues and developments
• Lead the development and implementation of internal sustainability work groups
• Facilitate internal and external communications, supporting the Head of Sustainability to develop and implement a communications plan
• Ensure current best available techniques are employed where feasible
• Actively and visibly uphold the Muller UK & Ireland Group values,
• Positively influence and challenge individuals and systems that compromise Muller UK & Ireland Group values
• Establish valued and relevant communication forums                              
• Actively support development of a positive H & S culture
• Maintain highest H & S standards and behaviours
• Actively support the development of a positive sustainability culture, through communications and education

 

Key Skills and Experience

 

• In-depth understanding of the ‘best in class’ FMCG sustainability strategy and Roadmap
• Knowledge of ISO14001:2015 standard
• Experience in leading and developing a team

• Sponsor of Operational Excellence principles in everything that we do
• Utilises all available opportunities, enabling others to improve the way we do things
• Create purpose and direction around OGSM deliverables
• Ensures own activities are aligned to overall business objectives and knows how current performance impacts all areas of the business
