What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Infotainment technical product managers at Scout are the technical stewards of the experiences, features, and functions implemented by the infotainment software organization for both in-vehicle and mobile apps, including maps, navigation and route planning, EV charging, media, HVAC, audio, cameras, voice recognition, connectivity, remote functionality, vehicle controls, vehicle settings, and many other EV and off-road features. Together, these features and functions provide an experience that is unique to Scout vehicles. In this cross-functional position, technical product managers work closely with the infotainment software team, UX design team, and other internal and external stakeholders to provide Scout customers with a seamless HMI experience.
- Steward a portfolio of features and functions to be included in the in-vehicle infotainment platform through all stages of the product lifecycle
- Manage the delivery of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes at a high velocity
- Author roadmaps, delivery plans, and functional/non-functional/technical requirements
- Create integration and acceptance test plans
- Lead sprint planning and daily standup meetings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders - including UX Design, product, and other main systems engineering partners - to understand functional, nonfunctional, and technical requirements & E/E architectures, ensure seamless integration of features into vehicle platforms, and monitor and resolve performance issues
- Ensure that all functions meet automotive industry standards and regulations, coordinate and assess risks
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Fremont, CA. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- BS/MS degree in computer science or related field
- 7+ years of software development experience
- 9+ years of technical product management experience
- Technical understanding of Android OS/AOSP/AAOS, iOS, Linux, or other infotainment platforms
- Technical understanding of software architecture, design and integration patterns, and software development best practices
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical details to nontechnical stakeholders; able to transform non-technical requirements into actionable technical deliverables
- Excellent collaborative skills, ability to provide and receive guidance
- Effective problem solving skills
- Highly productive and motivated, able to work independently with minimal direction; able to transform ambiguity into actionable deliverables
- Thoughtful, pragmatic approach that considers tradeoffs<
