Job Summary

This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of Insulet’s Mobile Platform by driving alignment, execution, and transparency across a complex, multi-team Agile environment. As the central force behind the Agile Release Train, the RTE enables seamless coordination across teams and stakeholders, helping the organization deliver high-quality, compliant mobile solutions that directly support innovative diabetes care. Position overview:

We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support our Mobile Platform Agile Release Train within a regulated medical device environment. The role will partner closely with Product Owners, Technical Leaders, Architects, Systems Engineering, and Program Management to drive planning, execution, and delivery across multiple Scrum teams.

The environment follows SAFe Agile practices with quarterly PI Planning, ART-level ceremonies, and cross-functional delivery teams. The RTE will serve as a delivery coordinator, helping teams align on priorities, manage dependencies, track execution, and deliver committed objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, Inspect & Adapt events, and other SAFe ceremonies.
  • Coordinate planning and execution across multiple Agile teams supporting the Mobile Platform.
  • Manage and track cross-team dependencies, integration activities, risks, issues, and impediments.
  • Provide visibility into ART execution through metrics, milestone tracking, burn-up reporting, and delivery forecasting.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Systems Engineering, Architects, and Engineering Leaders to support feature definition, refinement, readiness, and planning activities.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and escalation paths across teams and stakeholders.
  • Support Agile teams that may not have dedicated Scrum Master support.
  • Coordinate with adjacent platform and product teams to align delivery plans and integration activities.

Desired Experience

  • Experience serving as an RTE, Senior Scrum Master, Agile Program Manager, or similar Agile leadership role.
  • Strong SAFe Agile experience, including PI Planning and ART execution.
  • Experience supporting large Agile programs consisting of multiple Scrum teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage dependencies, integrations, risks, and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience working with cloud-based and mobile software platforms and distributed engineering teams.
