Job Summary
Member of team responsible for modeling development for pSemi’s patented high-performance UltraCMOS™ technology. This position will work closely with modeling engineers and CAD to support internal design groups and external foundry customers with model extraction flow development and data analysis. The role will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance to design teams in their area of expertise.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
• Provide input on projects and priorities for the group.
• Project leadership and ownership on complex model extractions.
• Methodology development for advanced physics in model extraction.
• Provide equipment specifications for advanced measurement system configuration.
• Detail analysis of characterization data.
• Model implementation and flow development for multiple EDA platforms.
• Provide technical insight to help guide development on other teams.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
- Typically requires 8 to 12 years of experience in semiconductor industry depending on education level and experience
- Demonstrated ability to define and lead projects to completion
- Demonstrated ability to develop a novel or non-standard model extraction flow
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics
- Understanding of the relationship in semiconductor manufacturing and device operation
- Statistical model development and analysis
- Model implementation and flow development for multiple EDA platforms
- Provide technical insight and support to the design community, modeling team, and technology team. Familiarity with measurement system for advanced characterization (IV, CV, S-parameters, Pulsed-measurements, Load-Pull, IMD, etc.)
- Experience developing a design of experiment for model extraction
- Understanding of the interaction between semiconductor manufacturing and device performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Compact model development BSIM, PSP and/or HISIM model extraction methods
- Experience in high frequency measurements for S-parameters, IP3, IMD, and NF. of RF device physics, measurements, and extraction
• Detailed knowledge of some advanced modeling (i.e. noise, RF, large signal, thermal, etc
• Background or understanding of electromagnetic theory
• Basic understanding of RFIC design
Education Requirements
- MS EE or related field, Ph. D preferred
