The need for passionate engineers who want to make a difference is now! Our team develops strategic solutions to ensure Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) function accurately, on-time, every time, and under the most extreme circumstances for our national defense.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join a cohort of 20+ talented software engineers in developing our Very Low Frequency (VLF) solution for the military. The government has requested a need for greater cyber security threat protection, software assurance, improvement in availability and reliability while harnessing the latest technologies for rapid development and deployment.
What You Will Do:
Work collaboratively in a supporting team environment to solve our customer’s mission critical needs.
Develop and integrate multi-threaded embedded software using C and C++.
Define software requirements and UML design diagrams within a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool.
Support integration and verification within our automated test framework (gtest, python, JSON).
Provide insight on future scope, task assignments, and process improvements within our Agile cadence.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams for a unified solution.
What You Will Learn:

Integration and validation on a variety of hardware controller cards.
Best practices in secure software coding on embedded systems.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
3+ years of experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in C++.
Experience with structured development lifecycles, test methodologies, requirements analysis, and change/configuration management in compliance-driven environments.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in embedded C++ in real-time operating systems (RTOS) on Arm-based platforms.
Experience with multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization in complex environments.
Experience in secure coding practices.
Experience with hardware-software integration and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
Experience with UML, SysML, MBSE and CAMEO Modeling tools.
Experience with development tool sets, including Jira, Git, Visual Studio Code, cmake.
Experience with automated test frameworks, unit testing, and requirements traceability.
Experience in leadership roles (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer).
