Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Applications Software Development Team within the Research & Development (R&D) department. This team develops cutting edge cloud-based software applications (both medical and non-medical) using a microservice based architecture.

The Opportunity – Develop software applications that directly impact patients around the world

• Act as a high-level technical expert in design development, coding, testing and debugging new software applications (or significant enhancements to existing software).
• Design, develop, operate, and maintain software components and systems to apply to and integrate with engineering, scientific, regulatory and manufacturing requirements.
• Perform and approve code and test reviews.
• Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives.
• Define software development best practices and introduce new, state-of-the-art techniques.
• Mentor early-career software engineers.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in software engineering, design, or development.
• Expertise in C# with a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design.
• Proficiency with databases such as MySQL, Azure SQL, NoSQL and/or Redis Cache.
• Experience contributing to application architecture and design (e.g., architecture, scalability, performance, design patterns and reliability).
• Thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Interested in leadership opportunities by helping other software engineers improve their skills.
• Strong sense of project ownership, urgency and drive.

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Microservice patterns and architectures.
• Networking and messaging.
• Experience working with RESTful services.
• Experience with UI technologies: Angular and TypeScript.
• CI/CD integration experience.
• Experience with automated testing.

Target Pay Range:  $125,100.00 to $156,400.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  10.0%
