Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Applications Software Development Team within the Research & Development (R&D) department. This team develops cutting edge cloud-based software applications (both medical and non-medical) using a microservice based architecture.

The Opportunity – Develop software applications that directly impact patients around the world
- Act as a high-level technical expert in design development, coding, testing and debugging new software applications (or significant enhancements to existing software).
- Design, develop, operate, and maintain software components and systems to apply to and integrate with engineering, scientific, regulatory and manufacturing requirements.
- Perform and approve code and test reviews.
- Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives.
- Define software development best practices and introduce new, state-of-the-art techniques.
- Mentor early-career software engineers.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in software engineering, design, or development.
- Expertise in C# with a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design.
- Proficiency with databases such as MySQL, Azure SQL, NoSQL and/or Redis Cache.
- Experience contributing to application architecture and design (e.g., architecture, scalability, performance, design patterns and reliability).
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Interested in leadership opportunities by helping other software engineers improve their skills.
- Strong sense of project ownership, urgency and drive.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Microservice patterns and architectures.
- Networking and messaging.
- Experience working with RESTful services.
- Experience with UI technologies: Angular and TypeScript.
- CI/CD integration experience.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.

Target Pay Range: $125,100.00 to $156,400.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 10.0%
