Senior Sales Lab Executive
DoorDashAbout the role
About the Team
The Sales Lab Org incubates Doordash’s highest priority bets, testing them and building out the go-to-market plan. We are the innovation engine of DD, and operate similar to a Venture Capital Firm. Teams pitch their products to us, we decide to ‘invest’ via resourcing, and we build these products to ‘IPO’ i.e. launch to our scaled org and be blockbuster products.
About the Role
We are looking for a Sr. Sales Executive to join our Sales Lab team. As a Senior Sales Lab Executive (SLAB), you will engage with Merchants to conduct product discovery, refine sales cycles, and gather insights to shape the product roadmap. You will test pitches, pricing models, and features, documenting learnings to provide data-backed recommendations on strategy, product, and pricing. Additionally, you will create playbooks for scaled launches and go-to-market readiness, outlining tests, iterations, and future recommendations.
We expect this role to be flexible, with some time remote, some time in office, and some time traveling in the field to visit Merchants to conduct Merchant discovery, sell, onboard, troubleshoot etc. You will need the ability to travel as needed for in-person collaboration through training, offsites, team-building events, and other business-related necessities.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Will be working with our SMBs to bring them onto new products
- Be at the forefront of DoorDash's innovation and big bets
- Will help inform strategy, product and scale
- You will be working cross functionally across multiple teams, and will work on these 0-1 initiatives from 6 months - 18 months (typically)
- Will be uncovering what our Merchants want every day, and translating these into asks / strategy for the business
- Building the playbook for how we sell
We’re excited about you because…
- You have 5+ years of outside sales experience, with a strong focus on sales discovery and relationship-building.
- Strong expertise in Google Sheets/Docs – including forms, reporting, and data tracking; skilled in interpreting data
- Proven ability to tackle complex challenges, design effective process, and create complete playbooks that drive efficiency and success
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
