What You'll Do:

• Build Robust Features: Develop cutting-edge full-stack features in a Ruby on Rails environment, leveraging powerful tools like Sidekiq, Redis, Hotwire, and AWS.
• Craft Quality Code: Write well-structured, maintainable, and rigorously tested code using RSpec, fully embracing TDD and BDD practices. Read this twice—is this you?
• Innovate Beyond MVC: Design and implement complex software solutions that push the boundaries of conventional MVC frameworks.
• Pioneer Our Team: Join as one of the first five full-time software engineering hires, shaping the future of Tesote.
• Lead Architecturally: Engage in strategic architectural decision-making to ensure scalable, sustainable product development.

Who You Are:

• Educated & Experienced: You hold a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or you bring equivalent practical experience. You also have 6+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years focusing specifically on Ruby on Rails.
• Pattern Savvy: Proficient in design and architectural patterns, you have a track record of deploying consumer-facing APIs that handle high concurrent usage.
• Autonomous Driver: You thrive in independent roles, capable of driving products from conception to launch.
• Master Communicator: An effective communicator, you excel at async communication and employ best practices to keep teams aligned.

Nice to Have:

• Full-Stack Tech: Hands-on experience with SQL, Hotwire, AWS, Sidekiq, and Redis.
• Tool Familiarity: Familiarity with analytics platforms, CRM systems, and customer engagement tools.
• DevOps Expertise: Background in DevOps, including Docker.
• Insightful Analyst: Able to turn data insights into product improvements.
• Big Data & Finance Knowledge: Basic finance and accounting principles coupled with proficiency in big data tools and frameworks.
• Bilingual Ability: Spanish proficiency is a plus!

Communication Style:

• Asynchronous Communication: We prioritize asynchronous communication and rely heavily on tools like Slack and Loom to keep meetings to a minimum. Our small working sessions with 3 or fewer people emphasize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Clear & Concise: You should be great at leveraging asynchronous communication tools to foster clear and concise exchanges across the team.
