Job Description
On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite full time from 7AM – 3PM+.

The Role
As we move toward our vision of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion, we are seeking a highly motivated Lead Reflash Technician to join our Reflash Team. This role is responsible for ensuring GM’s development and Captured Test Fleets are continuously updated with the latest released software. The Lead Reflash Technician will perform software flashing activities across vehicles, ensuring each fleet maintains the highest level of software accuracy and reliability.
In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with multiple GM business units to support vehicle development, testing, and validation efforts. You will play a key role in maintaining a high-fidelity fleet from a software perspective while contributing to GM’s broader transformation toward a software-defined future. This role offers exposure to advanced vehicle technologies, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities for leadership growth and organizational impact.

Understanding of diagnostic trouble codes and how to pull them.
Work closely with cross functional teams to troubleshoot and ensure successful flashing.
Adhere to all safety precautions and requirements and treat safety as the top priority during all work activities.
Able to pivot quickly and align resources to changing priorities.
Exhibit a high level of professionalism in all verbal, written, and face-to-face communications.
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal customers.
Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries, concerns, or issues- with a solution-focused mindset.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years working in an automotive environment.
High level of ability to work independently.
Good interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of major automotive systems and subsystems.
Understanding of verification and validation processes.
Experience or knowledge of flashing tools.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Solid understanding of Functional Safety.
Familiarity with GM software architecture and flashing techniques.
