As a Senior Quality Engineer at Delta Dental on our Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM) team, you will collaborate with both business and technical teams to ensure the usability and functionality of our products, services, and systems. Your role is pivotal in establishing quality standards and testing systems that embody efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Testing identity features such as registration, login, federated login, single-sign on, and password change. However, even without specific experience in these areas, a strong background in end-to-end application level testing can still make a significant contribution to our team. Your efforts will play a crucial role in our strategic plan, aimed at maintaining and enhancing the quality of our production and processes. This position offers an opportunity to make a substantial impact on our organization by driving quality initiatives and improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business and technical stakeholders, to understand and solidify requirements for our CIAM solutions
- Dives into the latest technologies and industry best practices, such as identifying features, registration, login, federated login, and single sign-on (SSO)
- Develops comprehensive test plans and automation scripts to ensure seamless user experiences and robust security measures
- Investigates and resolves complex defects, implementing innovative solutions and processes to drive continuous improvement
- Analyzes quality assurance metrics and create insightful test summary reports, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making
- Investigates the causes of routine defects and implements new processes and/or solutions (i.e. software upgrade)
- Contributes to the development of cutting-edge CIAM solutions, including identity management, authentication, authorization, and user provisioning
- Participates in training and development opportunities to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving CIAM landscape
- Contributes to the development of best practices and standards
- Experience in software quality assurance techniques.
- Knowledge of QA principles, concepts, systems, industry practices, and standards
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $74,000 - $170,900
