Job Description
The successful Quality Assurance Specialist candidate will have solid experience with testing web sites in various browsers and possess the ability to cross train and mentor other team members on best practices, methods and use of proprietary internal tools. Day-to-day you will be assigned to multiple projects within a Business Unit. The QA Specialist will be an active contributor in a collaborative team environment, and passionate about the quality of our work, our clients, and our culture.
Description & Responsibilities:
- Run functional tests, identify defects, enter bugs into tracking system and validate bug fixes
- Manage the QA process for project teams
- Assist QA team members in remote offices, and provide them proper information/instructions to do their QA tasks
- Assist in data validation testing and work with project leadership
- Develop test plans and test cases
- Monitor project compliance to standards, guidelines, and requirements
- Generate QA testing estimates
- Verify that project documentation is sufficiently detailed to support development of QA materials
- Assist in the coordination of appropriate test environments, equipment, etc. as needed
- Perform integration, functionality, system, regression, acceptance testing using manual methods and testing tools
- Perform database / MySQL queries
- Perform API testing
- Maintain and run UI & API automated test scripts
- Detailed verification of product content and presentation
- Continually search out new technologies and processes to improve QA functions
- Administration of testing and QA tools
- Training and mentoring others in the use of testing and QA tools and processes
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in the following:
- Automation UI or API tools
- Formal software test methods and Quality Assurance programs
- Preparation of formal test plans, test cases and bug reporting
- Formal testing techniques such as regression, integration, usability, etc.
- Testing experience in latest desktop and mobile browsers
- SQL experience via command line and/or GUI interface
- Meticulous nature; displaying a penchant for detail and precision
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira
- Experience creating test plans
- Experience using test case management tools such as TestRail
- Agile / SCRUM Experience is a plus
- Familiarity Navigating SQL
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $79,000k-$83,500k. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
