Senior QA Engineer

As part of our post-Series C growth, we’re excited to add a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to our team. 

As a Senior QA Engineer at ThreeFlow, you’ll help ensure that every product release meets our quality bar and provides a seamless user experience. You’ll collaborate across teams and participate in feature creation early on in the software development lifecycle process to ensure requirements are feasible from a unique testing perspective. You’ll also work closely with our integrations team to test and connect both carriers and brokers with a customized experience with ThreeFlow and contribute to our expanding automated testing suite. This is a collaborative and analytical role for someone who’s passionate about driving impact at an early-stage startup.

About the role

• Develop automated end-to-end specs to shift testing strategies earlier in the development process

• Build and own testing plans and status reports; ensure action items are completed on time

• Define testing strategies to ensure products and features being released are up to industry and company standards

• Define and execute comprehensive test cases and identify tests for automated test development

• Document and track bugs, working closely with engineering and product teams

• Conduct thorough manual and automated testing to identify defects, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks

• Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and ensure clear communication throughout the testing process

• Troubleshoot system issues, working with development teams as needed

• Attend regular team meetings to communicate progress, identify new risks as testing phases are completed, and create new mitigation plans

• Continuously improve the QA process and implement industry best practices for software testing

About you

• 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer

• 3+ years of experience developing automated tests

• Experience with software QA tools and processes (Cypress experience a plus)

• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks

• Experience working with Jira and in an Agile/Scrum development process

• Experience in software development and the software development lifecycle

• Strong documentation skills in creating test approach/methodology and functional test scripts

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise guidance through emails, calls, or virtual meetings

• Meticulous attention to detail, with strong organization and prioritization skills

• Interested in learning about the employee benefits and insurance industry
