Senior Project Manager - Utilities

What You Will Be Doing:

In this newly developed role, you will lead the pursuit and delivery of utility sector projects. Responsibilities include building and managing relationships with key clients, managing complex service utility projects, business planning, market growth, and team development while growing and leading this newly established practice at Bolton & Menk.

• Identify, pursue, and position the firm for utility engineering opportunities in partnership with municipal, transportation, land development, water, and other discipline leaders.
• Lead the development and launch of a new utility engineering practice area, including defining service offerings, target markets, and delivery approach.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to establish growth strategies, including revenue targets, staffing plans, and geographic focus.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, utility owners, agencies, contractors, and adjacent engineering partners.
• Assist with recruiting, training, development, and mentoring of future team members as the practice grows
• Responsible for management planning, scheduling and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel.
• Perform business development activities (client needs, research, proposals)

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related from an accredited college or university
• 12+ years of experience in utility engineering, utility coordination, infrastructure project management, or related civil engineering services.
• Strong understanding of utility systems (water, wastewater, storm, electric, gas, telecom) and how they interface with civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience with client relationship management and business development

Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000+ depending on years of experience and credentials

Bolton & Menk is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to specific geographic location.
