Senior Project Manager

The Opportunity:

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Senior Project Manager to optimize our Manufacturing Operations & Supply Chain organization.

This Northeast/ Central USA role is full-time, remote.

Minimum Education Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.

Required Experience (3+ years):

• Project management / planning for the execution of integration activities
• Establishing and maintaining the PMI program management methodology
• Tracking progress of project execution and escalating process bottlenecks, anticipated delays, and other project completion risks.
• Driving and monitoring key activities within each business / functional integration phase.
• Creating and tracking program milestones, interdependencies, and communication plans.
• Preparing/ coordinating communications and report outs for key internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers as appropriate
• Organizing program management and updating meetings
• Preparing and distributing minutes of these meetings including action items and follow ups.

Preferred Experience:

• Developing project templates / action plans with integration owners
• Providing dashboards to monitor integration status.
• Six Sigma Black belt certification
• Project Management designation
• Team leadership
• PMP Certification

Travel:

• Up to 20%

Proficient in the methods, techniques and tools for planning, resourcing and monitoring of project activities including advance use and knowledge of MS Office the Senior Project Manager will interact with all levels of the organization and partner with staff from multiple countries and different cultures.  In this leadership role the successful candidate will teach and transfer skills to team leaders and members as well as general audiences.

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve Work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
