Job Description
The Visa Token Services (VTS) Team in the Payment Product Delivery (PPD) Technology division delivers and manages end-to-end technology products to promote the growth of digital commerce and mobilization of payments in emerging and developed markets. The Program and Business Management Office (PBMO) is a centralized function within PPD, responsible for program/project initiation, execution, and deployment of quality products in the marketplace. The PBMO is also responsible for governance and reporting, training programs, financial management, risk management, and maintaining an effective system of internal product delivery controls.
This Sr. Project Manager position is responsible for performing several aspects of project management and budget administration and reporting for the Visa Token Services (VTS) Program. The position is part of a team driving delivery of projects for a large, highly complex, multi-year program. It requires a person who can quickly come up to speed on the key business and technical concepts and budget administration aspects of the program to collaborate with business (product), technology, finance, and PMO stakeholders to plan and manage budgets and manage delivery of software.
Key responsibilities are to:
Work with PMO leadership to drive the budget approval process, prepare program charters and project charters, and seek approvals for prioritized program scope and budget.
Drive regular cross-functional budget planning activities and ensure the VTS program complies with Visa-wide financial management requirements.
Drive program compliance with Visa's Project Management Methodology and Key Controls and ensure accurate and timely information is collected and reported regularly on program progress and financial status. Support data collection for audits and other inquiries, as needed.
Regularly analyze Program budget data and work with cross-functional PMO teams to ensure that program stays within budget and resources are properly forecasted and allocated.
Drive budget change management based on program and project priorities, approved funding, and resource availability across all dependent teams.
Be a communication hub for the project team, and ensure all stakeholders have the appropriate information in a timely manner to perform their jobs.
Share knowledge amongst direct team members and program team members and contribute to domain knowledge library and training materials.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
• At least 8 years of professional experience in project and program budget administration, at least 5 of which should have been in technically complex, cross-organizational, multi-year programs.
• Experience managing budgets for programs that use different delivery methodologies, especially Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, and the ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to different organizational levels and audiences.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to change (e.g., changing priorities, assignments, and roles).
