Role Description
In this exciting new role, you will report to the Head of the Finance PMO and be a part of building a new Program Management Office (PMO) for Finance. In addition to leading complex initiatives in support of the Finance transformation journey, you will help establish project management guidelines and practices to ensure effective, efficient, high-quality delivery that consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of the business. You will handle the business side of multiple projects and will interact with multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural teams at all seniority levels, including leadership. The successful candidate should be able to quickly understand the business and must have excellent communication skills, with strong experience in leading complex projects in a global environment.
This is a hybrid position that can be based in either Los Angeles or Los Gatos and offers the flexibility to work remotely part of the time. Occasionally travel may be required to other office locations, including internationally.

Responsibilities
Program Management
- Form recommendations on PMO best practices and help shape the development of the new PMO organization.
- Lead programs and projects from the idea phase through to implementation. Develop charters, and project plans/schedules, balance resources and track the completion of milestones.
- Align program with other company initiatives and manage cross-project dependencies
- Proactively manage risks and anticipate potential issues which pose a threat to achieving project goals; propose plans to resolve issues and execute corrective actions.
Stakeholder Management & Business Engagement
- Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels. Ensure all stakeholders are aware of project decisions and status. Keep executive sponsors informed via status presentations and appropriate escalations.
- Collaborate with Finance business leads, product, engineering, and technical program managers to deliver solutions that meet or exceed business stakeholders' needs.
- Manage through others; successfully influence cross-functional team members to achieve project goals.
- Support team members and establish healthy, collaborative relationships.
- Maintain enthusiasm, energy, and focus in a variety of circumstances.
Change Management
- Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
- Hands-on completion of change management deliverables (stakeholder analysis, business impact assessment, change adoption strategy, training plans, etc.)
- Build a change management framework that we can use going forward (tools, template, methodology, etc.)
Data Governance
- Collaborate very closely with leaders across Finance to identify data challenges and prioritize data domains to be addressed
- Ensure the business has the required people, policies, procedures, and standards to support an optimal data governance structure tailored to the Netflix environment
- Drive the adoption of data governance and promote data quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (information systems, business, finance preferred), MIS or MBA a plus
- 7+ years of project and program management experience
- Proven ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across geographies
- Business leadership of large cross-functional technology implementations with teams such as Finance, HR, and Operations.
- Working knowledge of business process analysis methodology and tools
- Strong understanding of Agile PM practices
- Demonstrated change management competencies
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
- Strong understanding of data governance practices
- Experience with Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Forecast to Delivery, and Hire to Retire
