About the role

GEICO is looking for an accomplished, customer obsessed, and results oriented Senior Product Manager to join GEICO's ERS Product team.  

  

In this senior level individual contributor position, you will be responsible for optimizing and managing the Customer Experience for ERS, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and user-friendly experience for customers in need of roadside assistance. This role centers around enhancing the digital and analog touch points and the larger vision for ERS that support customers during emergencies, from mobile app interactions to phone call requests.

If selected, you will be responsible for full ownership of the digital experience for Emergency Roadside Service, ensuring it meets the high standards of usability, accessibility, and reliability required during emergency situations. You will work closely with UX/UI designers to develop and refine digital solutions that are intuitive and easy to navigate under stress, ensuring quick and effective access to roadside assistance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves to do the work, while also influencing organizational change through proper scoping, process improvement, and positive team dynamics. 

This position is preferably a hybrid role, however, exceptional remote candidates will be considered.

Hybrid locations include: Washington, DC, Fredericksburg, VA, San Jose/San Francisco, CA, Chicago IL, Seattle WA, New York, NY, and Indianapolis, IN.

The ideal candidate is excellent at: 

  • Leading cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery. 

  • Synthesizing business, market, and platform data to identify opportunities, size them, and turn insights into requirements. 

  • Owning and prioritizing the long-term (6+ months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned to ensure that and your team will be successful. 

  • Leveraging modern architecture & great design to identify problem-solution fit. 

  • Evaluating trade-offs and negotiating requirements. 

  • Creating and using compelling, informative artifacts to influence stakeholders (ex. Vision, Roadmaps, Features/Epics, Progress Updates, etc.). 

  • Understanding of current and future state architecture.  

  • Identifying and measuring KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), with an eye to adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data dictates. 

  • Having an end-to-end understanding of features and how they fit into the larger ecosystem to be able to anticipate impacts from changes in other parts of the business. 

  • Coaching and mentoring other Product Managers.  

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management 

  • 5+ years of experience translating features into consumer or associate facing products 

  • 5+ years managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery 

  • 5+ years leading cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery 

  • 3+ years of experience building and shipping technical products 

  • High sense of accountability and strong problem-solving skills 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions 

  • Proven experience in managing digital platforms or services, with a preference for backgrounds in emergency services, roadside assistance, or similar fields.

  • Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction 

  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing 

  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Insurance industry experience preferred 

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as software engineering or computer science 

  • Agile certifications preferred (i.e., SAFe, Scrum Alliance, Scrum.Org, ICAgi


 

Annual Salary

$143,000.00 - $224,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
