Senior Product Manager, Data Catalog
LiveRampAbout the role
LiveRamp is the data collaboration platform of choice for the world’s most innovative companies. A groundbreaking leader in consumer privacy, data ethics, and foundational identity, LiveRamp is setting the new standard for building a connected customer view with unmatched clarity and context while protecting precious brand and consumer trust. LiveRamp offers complete flexibility to collaborate wherever data lives to support the widest range of data collaboration use cases—within organizations, between brands, and across its premier global network of top-quality partners.
Hundreds of global innovators, from iconic consumer brands and tech giants to banks, retailers, and healthcare leaders turn to LiveRamp to build enduring brand and business value by deepening customer engagement and loyalty, activating new partnerships, and maximizing the value of their first-party data while staying on the forefront of rapidly evolving compliance and privacy requirements.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our Data Catalog capabilities. As a key leader within the Data Foundation team, you will be responsible for defining how data is observed, audited, and discovered across the LiveRamp ecosystem. You will drive the unification of our asset management experience, ensuring that internal teams and external customers have a seamless, consistent view of their data lineage, status, and ownership. This role is critical in unlocking self-service validation, enabling data governance, and fueling our "Connect" platform with high-quality metadata.
You will:
Drive Product Strategy: Lead the roadmap for Data Catalog and Asset Management, prioritizing initiatives that unify disparate asset experiences into a single, cohesive interface.
Enhance Data Observability: Build tools that allow customers to "Observe, Audit, Discover, and Collaborate" on their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data. This includes delivering detailed insights into data patterns, usage trends, and lineage to reduce "stale" data.
Manage Critical Migrations: Oversee complex migrations of legacy asset management systems and support key initiatives like segment-first activation and insights to activations workflows, ensuring zero disruption to customer operations.
Manage Technical Debt & Optimize for Scale: Proactively balance new feature development with critical technical debt management. This includes overseeing complex migrations from legacy portals (app.liveramp) to our modern Connect platform and finalizing SingleStore migrations. Ensure the catalog infrastructure can handle the scale of LiveRamp’s growing data ingestion and processing needs, aiming for high reliability and faster turnaround times.
Enable Cross-Platform Integration: Collaborate with Engineering and Design to support deep integrations with downstream activation, Universal Segment Builder, and clean room capabilities.
Champion Data Governance: Define and implement metadata standards that support compliance across all regional jurisdictions (EU, US, etc.) and facilitate automated data governance.
Lead Cross-Functional Execution: Work closely with Engineering, UX, Technical Services, and Product Design to coordinate launches, manage dependencies, and drive adoption of new features through an excellent user experience.
Deliver Technical Requirements: Write clear, concise technical requirements (PRDs) that address scale, performance, security, and extensibility, empowering engineers to build robust solutions.
Your team will:
The Data Catalog team is central to the Data Foundation Space. Your team builds the "registry" that powers LiveRamp's understanding of data. You will work to solve the problem of fragmented data views, where customers currently struggle to track data state across different applications. Your team’s work will directly impact the speed at which customers can activate data and the efficiency with which internal teams can support them.
About you:
Experience: 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in data platforms, metadata management, or enterprise SaaS.
Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of data lineage, metadata standards, and backend data infrastructure (SQL knowledge is a must). You possess deep technical credibility and can constructively challenge engineering decisions regarding complex system trade-offs, APIs, and data pipelines.
Foundation PM Mindset: You understand that your "customers" are often other Product Managers and internal
