The Protected Communication Systems (PCS) team is hiring Senior Principal Systems Engineers to support programs for our US military and various international customers, keeping the world safe from foreign threats. PCS supports multiple Collins contracts and is seeking to fill roles across several open contracts – our goal is to align each new hire with a position that best suits their skills and allows for career growth. As a  Senior Principle Systems Engineer, you will be a leader within an Integrated Program Team (IPT) developing architecture, refining requirements, guiding system development and integration, supporting test development, and working closely with our customers and suppliers to ensure we deliver world class solutions.

What You Will Do
    • Organize and lead the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation while collaborating with the customer, subcontractors, and executive leadership
    • Organize and lead lab activities including setup, configuration management, and testing
    • Ensure Modeling, Hardware, and Software Interfaces utilize a scalable ontology
    • Mentor several professionals with varying levels of experience
    • Own the preparation, cost, and schedule of Design Reviews as well as Integration, Dry Run, and Formal Qualification Testing
    • Influence decision-makers with recommended courses of action across complex problems
    • Review and document major changes in systems or processes to solve complex problems

Qualifications You Must Have
    • Mastery in tooling to include CAMEO, Rhapsody, Microsoft products, or tasking boards (Jira, IBM EWM, etc.)
    • Knowledge of the full Systems Engineering V – from CONOPS development to Sustainment
    • Strong integration and test knowledge including digital twins, test procedures, test automation, test execution, and test reporting
    • Ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams of design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software, test, logistics and other system engineers
    • Knowledge of or application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
    • The ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance within 1 year of start date  
    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer
��   • Experience with Survivable Mobile Command Center architectures and operations
    • Experience with Systems support to software and hardware application development
    • Experience with System or application integration
    • Technical Experience with communication Radio and Systems: SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, AEHF, or V/UHF 
    • Technical Experience with computer networking for ground-based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms
    • Scripting knowledge and experience
