Summary

The Pricing Analyst Expert will play an important role in helping maximize revenue through operator and distributor price guidance, Salesforce CPQ expertise, and support Trade Spend Allowance recommendations. This position will work collaboratively with sales leadership to review both rebate and contract pricing programs and to execute short and long-term pricing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be skilled at developing pricing models and can integrate large amounts of data into actionable recommendations.

This role will report to the Commercial Solutions team and will be responsible for executing the defined distributor and operator pricing strategies.  The ability to network will be key to success in this role as you work with several key sales leaders, marketing, finance and other cross-functional partners. 

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Execution

• Provide price guidance recommendations through analytical review of existing programs, market dynamics, sales feedback, and marketing strategies
• Support integration and training for Salesforce CPQ
• Review pricing contracts and rebates to ensure the opportunities are set up correctly
• Provide price guidance with analytical support to sales leadership that optimize revenue and margin for the Food Service business unit
• Review distributor pricing and suggest pricing standards to support fair and equitable pricing
• Assist with implementation of pricing changes for distributor pricing files
• Support trade spend allowance reviews and recommendations
• Support sales with Salesforce opportunity setup, reviews, and recommendations

 

Reporting & Analytics 

• Responsible for developing pricing metrics and tools to provide guidance to the sales team on pricing action needed with distributors and operators
• Create Salesforce reports to assist in opportunity analysis and pricing reviews
• Develop tools to analyze lost business related to price and provide insights into adjustments needed
• Develop and maintain monthly reporting results and provide recommendations to sales leadership
• Develop auditing reports to support cross functional teams and help discover areas for change or improvement
• Leverage third party data to benchmark competitive pricing and identify trends
• Work closely with marketing, purchasing and finance to understand key cost changes and recommendations for list price adjustments and present recommendations to leadership for approval

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree from 4-year college or university

Relevant Experience

5+ years related experience 

Required Certifications

Other Information

• Highly proficient in data analysis and the ability to turn raw data into consumable and actionable insights
• Strong skills in using financial modeling tools, especially Microsoft (MS) Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, etc.
• Strong business and financial understanding
• Understanding of foodservice preferred
• Ability to build strong relationships through exceptional communication skills
• Self-directed and self-motivated
