Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Partnerships Coordinator at UL Standards & Engagement, based in our Washington, DC office.

The Senior Partnerships Coordinator will support external partnership engagement activities to drive the adaptation of safety standards and advance the mission of UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) to make the world safer, more secure, and sustainable. The Senior Partnerships Coordinator will promote safety and sustainability by supporting engagement with key external stakeholders including non-profit organizations, corporate industry leaders, trade associations, and academia. With focus on outreach efforts, the Senior Partnerships Coordinator will identify emerging opportunities to strengthen the organization’s engagement with partner organizations where ULSE can shape and influence the future of safety standards.

What you’ll learn and achieve:

As the Senior Partnerships Coordinator, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:

  • Support engagement activities with external partners and assist in execution of the organization’s strategic partner stewardship programs to support ongoing, consistent, value driven engagement.

  • Conduct basic research on prospective partners, emerging issues and relevant industry or academic developments to advance key initiatives.

  • Identify engagement opportunities with influential stakeholders to strengthen the organization’s visibility, influence, and impact. Support and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulatory bodies, government agencies, industry associations, and standards development organizations (SDOs).

  • Prepare background materials, briefing notes, and summaries to support partner interactions. Track partner touchpoints and engagement activities to support continuity and relationship management.

  • Support planning and coordination of meetings, briefings and high impact events ensuring seamless execution for both virtual and in-person engagements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support execution of project initiatives and align government affairs activities with organizational objectives.

  • Ensure project activities comply with organizational processes and protocols, including data entry, tracking in project management systems, and adherence to intellectual property guidelines.

  • Make notable contributions to shared team goals and independently manage workload effectively, using appropriate communication and adherence to deliverable and timeline expectations.

  • Actively build knowledge of the organization’s mission, safety standards portfolio and stakeholder ecosystem.

  • Performs other duties as directed
