Purpose

The Senior Outreach Program Coordinator will advance the KBH Energy Center’s mission by working with the Managing Director to develop and execute strategic programming for the Center’s external outreach initiatives, including the Center’s councils and industry engagement. This role will also be lead on all the Center’s industry events and will work to maximize the student program experience in collaboration with our Student Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Manage all phases of council and industry-level program activities of KBH events: Annual Symposium, Council Meetings, Council Dinners, and Regional Events. This includes planning, coordinating, marketing, executing, and managing staff, vendors, and volunteers and coordinating arrangements for guests and VIPs.

  • Other KBH annual events include conferences, trade expos, round tables, executive and advisory council meetings, career fairs, industry speakers, galas, symposiums, panels, and networking receptions.

  • Oversee the procedural and fiscal management of program activities, including budgeting, managing registrations, negotiating all contracts, arranging facilities, and catering in accordance with UT policies.

  • Work in collaboration with the Managing Director to evaluate and elevate existing events, as well as develop new, purposeful, and engaging programs.

  • Recommend new policies and procedures for the improvement of program activities.

Constituent Relationships

  • Lead the management, growth, and programming for the members of Advisory and Associate Advisory Councils.

  • Manages existing and establish new corporate memberships, and sponsor relationships and engagement.

  • Help build positive relations within the team and external parties through relationship management, engagement, and stewardship.

  • Communicate with constituents within the energy management industry, UT Alumni to inform broad range of activities that serve the KBH Center.

  • Develop strategic programming for networking and engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in a customer service environment and the ability to communicate effective relationship management

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team-oriented environment

  • Previous success managing multiple projects, assessing work priorities, and as well as regular ability to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and recording data.

  • Proficiency with software, especially MS Word, Excel, and O
