Your Tasks

 

  • Manage a team of developers working as technical project managers, solution designers (analysts) and programmers to assist in standards and best practices, increasing commonality in the overall team approaches to software designs and implementations.
  • General team management duties, including moral encouragement, corrections to weaknesses and best-practices training.
  • Build and oversee independent IT projects for customized print production (“mail-merge” with more complex business rules) and eDistribution.  These operations occur outside of our core system and allow significant flexibility of technical approach so a solid knowledge of general computing is required.  Code is written in Oracle PL/SQL and primarily takes customer data feeds and creates orders in our in-house logistics system.
  • Create dynamic print-on-demand “workflows” using Inspire (formerly called PrintNet) for high-volume complex document creation.
  • Assist Ddirector in miscellaneous upper management tasks, such as ISO audits and contract validation.

Your Profile

 

  • 6+ yrs Oracle PL/SQL experience required.  Mastery of PL/SQL and Oracle RDBMS concepts needed to become proficient with the core home-grown ERP system.
  • 3+ yrs of technical team management.
  • Working knowledge of Quest Toad highly recommended as other tools cannot be used.
  • Ability to find technical solutions to difficult challenges through R&D.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player: must be able to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to juggle several tasks at the same time.
  • BS in Computer Science or similar schooling required.
  • Management of a team of software developers required with considerable hands-on experience as an analyst and programmer for large scale projects.

  • Experience designing and building a significant Oracle stored procedure application; our core system is 500k lines of PL/SQL code and our ETL stored packages are 2.5 million additional lines of code, all built over 25 years..
  • Highly proficient in Oracle RDBMS concepts
  • Oracle 19 SQL (DML, DDL)
  • Oracle SQL*Loader
  • Decent understanding of DBA concepts, such as performance tuning
  • Quest TOAD working experience
  • Inspire (formerly PrintNet)

We are seeking a Senior-level Software Engineer with team management experience to participate in developing back-end (Oracle PL/SQL)  homegrownhomegrown application suite focusing on fFulfillment and high-volume digital pPrint technology and managing a team of highly skilled professionals doing the same.  Will workbe working primarily in Oracle PL/SQL for various projects, typically ETL for order creation applications.  Will be trained in detail on the core systems and take on responsibilities to its future growth.
