Senior Operations Manager

You are responsible for operational metrics and develop strategies to meet our customers' needs and drive Amazon Operations forward. You will also lead, develop, and grow a large team while coaching and empowering your team leaders.

- Contributing to budget planning, taking into - account all aspects — from finance through to workforce planning
- Maintaining the highest standards in operational health and safety
- Strategic planning for the next three, six, and twelve months, with a focus on peak season planning
- Taking ownership of the leaders in your area, including performance and feedback conversations as well as their development

A day in the life
As a Senior Operations Manager, you are responsible for multiple areas of an Amazon fulfillment center. You steer operational metrics, develop strategies to deliver on our customer promises, and lead a team of leaders. Your focus is on operational excellence, workplace safety, budget and capacity planning, as well as setting the strategic direction for the months ahead — particularly peak season. You create contingency plans, drive quality and productivity initiatives, and develop your leaders through regular feedback and coaching. In doing so, you combine a hands-on operational mindset with long-term thinking and set the highest standards as a role model across the entire organization.
