Job Description:
This job is responsible for resolving day-to-day complex problems, researching, and executing on complex transactions for multiple sites or larger business unit(s). Key responsibilities include leading the design, development, and implementation of products, systems, processes, and services using discretion within the project management methodologies, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Line of Business Description:

The Senior Operations Consultant will work in concert with the Group Operations Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of specific functions within a single site/business operations unit. 

  • Process Owner Delegate of the Retail Loan Check Processing SPI
  • Has in-depth understanding of the business unit's operations processes and implications on other groups within the operations function and other divisions within the company
  • Provides work direction, guidance and expertise to the business unit as a business process expert in mailed retail payments
  • Performs customer complaint research and defect root cause analysis ensuring timely remediation when applicable
  • Performs assigned tasks quickly and efficiently, responding promptly to requests, and timely communicating issues to appropriate parties
  • Manages projects and direct activities of a team related to change initiatives or risk issues

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the design, development, and implementation of complex products, systems, and services in an operations environment using subject matter expertise
  • Manages projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives
  • Advises as a technical expert in assigned area by providing work direction, guidance, and training to employees and business partners on new complex initiatives
  • Builds relationships with business partners across various Lines of Business
  • Manages and defines responsibilities and accountabilities for key program and projects

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years applicable industry experience
  • Risk management awareness and focus, with the ability to escalate and embrace the risk culture
  • Ability to navigate the organization, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes for decisions impacting the business
  • Critical thinker who reflects broadly to provide solutions
  • Background and understanding of payments processing
  • Product knowledge of Consumer, Home Loans, Consumer Vehicle Lending
  • Operational Excellence mindset for improved processes
  • Excellent communication, written and organizational skills
  • Intellectual curiosity, passion, and self-motivation
  • Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in and/or knowledge of Process Owner Portal\
  • Process Owner Delegate experience
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of Retail Loan Check Processing SPI
  • SharePoint Designer
