About the role

The Senior Occupancy Planner is responsible for leading space planning strategies, optimizing workplace utilization, and ensuring alignment between business needs and real estate resources. This role partners with cross-functional teams to maintain an accurate view of our current state of occupancy and engages with business leaders to develop and implement occupancy solutions that support organizational growth, efficiency, and employee experience. 

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $99,000-$129,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and manage comprehensive occupancy planning, including supply/demand analysis, scenario planning, and space optimization strategies.
  • Serve as a primary planning contact for business leads, providing data-driven recommendations and strategic guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Workplace Services, HR, IT/AV, and Finance to ensure alignment, and the necessary support is provided, on all space-related initiatives.
  • Analyze existing space utilization data to forecast future needs and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or expand our space utilization data to better inform our occupancy planning.
  • Field space requests from business contacts, identifying solutions, and negotiating outcomes.
  • Project Manage move-add-change (MAC) activities, from planning and communication to execution. Provide expertise and guidance to vendors and cross-functional partners to ensure all deliverables are achieved to the highest possible standards.
  • Maintain accurate data within the company's space management system (CAFM/IWMS), providing oversight to cross-functional partners engagement with the systems.
  • Develop, maintain and expand process guides and playbooks to ensure we have efficient and clear standards.
  • Engage with service providers as needed, developing and managing RFPs to procure new and expanded services. 

 

We're excited if you have 

  • 5+ years of experience in occupancy planning, workplace strategy, or a related field.
  • Proven ability, with specific examples, of operating at a senior level, including influencing stakeholders and leading complex projects that require guiding cross-functional partners.
  • Experience gathering and incorporating feedback from leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Proficiency with CAFM/IWMS software, AutoCAD and the Adobe Suite (illustrator, photoshop)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including advanced excel skills (ie. vlookup, if functions, pivots, dashboard creation, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, or related field.
