RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The ​Senior Network Engineer, Installation is expected to be able to accomplish the following:

  • Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.  
  • Conducts cost/benefit analysis and provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.  
  • Conducts testing of network design.  
  • Responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options.  
  • Plans implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network.  
  • Advises network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.  
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.
  • Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. May be assigned responsibility for the management of the systems administration function, including associated staff.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
  • BS, 12-15 years of relevant experience; MS, 10-13 years; PhD, 10+ years
  • One or more of the following DoD 8570/SP-ARC-002 certifications: 
    • Security+
    • CySA+
    • GSEC
    • CND
    • SSCP
  • One or more of the following network certifications:
    • Cisco CCNP Enterprise or Security 
    • Juniper JNCIP 
    • Aruba Certified Professional 
    • Palo Alto PCNSE 
    • Fortinet NSE 4+ 
    • Equivalent enterprise-level certification 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Cisco CCIE (Enterprise or Security) 
  • AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty 
  • Azure Network Engineer Expert 
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) 
  • CISSP 

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer, Installation to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Network Engineer, Installation designs and plans network communications systems.
