As a Senior Moldmaker, you will assure that dsm-firmenich products are of consistent and high quality by designing dsm-firmenich molds, products, tools, and fixtures; implementing new engineering design tools and training staff on their use; and providing assistance as required to the use of CAD systems for Engineering Change Notices. Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain injection molds, prototype assemblies, devices, components, production tooling, inspection tooling, fixtures, etc. from various materials while holding and maintaining extremely tight tolerances (i.e., +/- .0001).
• Work independently on a wide scope of projects with direction from the Supervisor.
• Provide mold design and development input.
• Critical thinker, problem solver with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Provide pricing input with the intent of quoting new mold builds or repairs and modifications to existing builds.
• Develop, exercise design input, construct, and maintain complicated equipment, apparatus, mechanisms, or attachments where only tentative designs, rough sketches, or oral instructions are available.

You Bring:

• High School graduate or equivalent; completion of formal journeyman program in tool & die making or mold making, or equivalent work experience.
• >10 years’ experience in the Moldmaking trade. Requires excellent working knowledge of job/position responsibilities, procedures, practices, and advanced training in the machining trades profession. 
• NC Machining capability a plus.
• Requires excellent project management skills.
• Professional demeanor consistent with being a resource, mentor, trainer, and example for others in the field.
• Works independently and with team.
